Can Pulley handle subscriptions to a monthly product?

I’m planning a project that would involve selling a series of monthly PDFs, for a period of 12 months. I’d like to allow customers to buy either a single issue of their choice or a 12-month subscription. Ideally, if they buy the subscription during month 4, they would get sent download links for the 4 issues that have already been released and would later be sent each remaining issue as its released. 

Is this something Pulley can handle? If not, is it likely to be available in the future?

    Pulley doesn’t currently support subscriptions payment options for items, sorry about that. One possible workaround would be to set up your issues as separate downloads, and then set up the 12-month subscription as its own product and manually send out the links to back-issues for customers who sign up partway through the 12-month period.  

    I can definitely pass your input along to the development team though, and mark it as a feature request.
